In order to ensure your complete privacy, I do not participate in most managed care panels. When you see a therapist through a managed care panel, information from your sessions with your therapist must be shared with a case manager and others who work for your insurance company. Once this information leaves my office, I have no control over who might see this information. The case manager, who has never met you, and may have far less training than a Ph.D. in clinical psychology will determine if you need treatment and how much treatment you are allowed to have. I resigned from most insurance panels because I do not endorse these practices and cannot provide my clients with the best, most confidential treatment under these constraints.
I ask that you pay me for my services on a session by session basis. I accept cash, personal checks, Master Card, and Visa. Payment plans will be considered on a case by case basis. I will gladly file your insurance for you and you will be reimbursed at out-of-network rates your plan provides for mental health services. I am a Medicare and a CareSource provider.
