Dr. Schneider received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Miami University's APA (American Psychological Association) approved program. Her studies emphasized women's issues, culminating in her dissertation on the experiences of depressed women.
She completed her APA approved internship at the Psychological Services Center at the University Of Cincinnati, further developing her interest in women's issues, recovery from sexual abuse, gay and lesbian concerns, and multicultural issues. Her postdoctoral experience with the renowned eating disorders' specialists, Drs. Susan and Wayne Wooley at the Eating Disorders Clinic at the University of Cincinnati Medical College added this specialty to Dr. Schneider's areas of expertise.
